Belton, Smith & Associates Ltd is committed to  continue as principal sponsor for the annual Whanganui Arts Review (unfortunately this is currently suspended due to the earthquake strengthening of the gallery building).

 

The Arts Review is an annual curated exhibition for artists living in the Whanganui region and is held at the Sarjeant Art Gallery usually in the months of July and August. It is an opportunity for emerging or experienced artists to exhibit their recent work in a public gallery forum.  The Arts Review is an excellent opportunity for visitors to view an exciting range of work by over 140 artists working in our local region. The exhibition features painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and video work and includes the work of a broad range of people from our community, from high school students to senior citizens.

 

Other Community & Arts Support & Sponsorship

 

We have also sponsored other community focused activities including the Whanganui Literary Festival, the annual Whanganui Artist's Open Studios and the Graduate show for the UCOL Bachelor of Fine Arts.

 

Bryce is the secretary of the North Wellington Judo Association, Hayden is a trustee of the Edith Collier Trust and provides support as the Treasurer.

 

In 2012 Belton, Smith & Associates committed to providing an annual sponsorship for the junior rugby academy at Wanganui City College. We have funded a full set of team jackets and hope to continue our support of the team over the next few years.  We see this as an opportunity to support the initiative and a team spirit within the school. We are delighted to be able to support the school and look forward to seeing the team's development over the season.
